In the United States, we have 3 branches of government with separation of powers. In the Book of Isaiah, it is revealed that the LORD our God is our Judge, Lawgiver, and King; It is He who will save us.
“22 For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our King; it is He who will save us.”
A judge belongs in the judiciary branch of government; a lawgiver belongs in the legislative branch; and the king, in Bible prophecy of future events, represents the executive branch. Our God gave us the law in the Old Covenant; He will judge the nations in the End Times; and He will reign as King when the Kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ is established. Only our King of Kings and Lord of Lords can save us from the law and the judgement it brings for our sins.
“22 Moreover, the Father judges no one, but has entrusted all judgment to the Son”
“27 And He has given Him authority to judge because He is the Son of Man.”
“24 ‘Very truly I tell you, whoever hears My word and believes Him who sent Me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life.'”
“8 Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day–and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for His appearing”
“18 When the Lord finished speaking to Moses on Mount Sinai, He gave him the two tablets of the covenant law, the tablets of stone inscribed by the finger of God.”
“13 For all the Prophets and the Law prophesied until John.”
“12 There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the One who is able to save and destroy.”
“But about the Son He says, ‘Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever; a scepter of justice will be the scepter of Your kingdom.'”
“17 Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen.”
“16 On His robe and on His thigh He has this name written: King of Kings and Lord of Lords.”
“’21 She will give birth to a Son, and you are to give Him the name Jesus, because He will save His people from their sins.'”
“’10 For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.'”
“9 Since we have now been justified by His blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through Him! 10 For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to Him through the death of His Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through His life!”
“9 If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. 11 As Scripture says, ‘Anyone who believes in Him will never be put to shame.’ 12 For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile–the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on Him, 13 for, ‘Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.'”
Jesus is our Judge; He is our Lawgiver; He is our King. Jesus is our Salvation. Put your trust in Jesus and He will not fail you.
