Life in this age is never perfect and some of its events don’t always go as planned. We can rest assured that God has compassion on us and comforts us in our troubles. God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, comforts us so that we can comfort others in their troubles also. If we, ourselves, didn’t go through these troubles, we wouldn’t be able to relate to those whom we comfort.
“3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.”
Our God is the God of compassion. Where others see struggles and failures, He sees qualification. This is why we praise God, who is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort.
